My book review of 'Wivenhoe' by Samuel Fisher

Wivenhoe
by Samuel Fisher

In the midst of an environmental disaster, the villagers of Wivenhoe, snowed in and isolated, are faced with a murder they did nothing to prevent.

A mother and son give us their perspectives on life and events in alternating narratives over a period of 24 hours.

Sparse and chilling, this is a troubling but compelling read. I wanted to pick it up and begin all over again when I reached the final page, but needed time to come back to reality. Tense and powerful.
