Sally Magnusson in conversation CANCELLED

Tuesday 7th April 2020, 2.45pm
Venue: Woodbridge Community Hall

This event has been CANCELLED.

The broadcaster, journalist and bestselling novelist will be joining us to introduce her new book 'The Ninth Child'.

Inspired by the mysterious death of the 17th century minister Robert Kirke, the story is set in a pivotal era two centuries later when engineering innovation, bringing clean water to Glasgow, flourished, but women did not.

It blends folklore with historical fiction and a profound sense of place in a haunting tale.

Sally has worked in news, politics, current affairs and religion and is a much-loved broadcaster and writer. She was a presenter for BBC’s 'Songs of Praise', and wrote a biography of the 'Chariots of Fire' athlete and missionary Eric Liddell. Her debut novel was the bestselling, 'The Sealwoman's Gift'.

The eldest daughter of the late 'Mastermind' presenter Magnus Magnusson, Sally's memoir about caring for her mother through dementia was highly acclaimed.

She is a warm, fascinating and engaging speaker, and we're thrilled she's joining us in Woodbridge Community Hall for this afternoon event.

Tickets are £15 and include a copy of 'The Ninth Child' (RRP £14.99). One additional ticket may be purchased for £6. Available from Browsers Bookshop 01394 388890.
