My review:

This award-winning author-illustrator has produced a book rich in colour, emotion and hope for the future.

A father invites his daughter to help him build a home for their life together.

They gather the tools they'll need to build the house and he invites her to cherish the memories they'll create together. He acknowledges there might be difficulties but they'll overcome them side by side, and they'll be stronger when they come through.

The story is told in rhyme and there's plenty to discuss and to ponder. The pictures are bold and intriguing.

It's about love and opportunity, about kindness and compassion, about sharing and reaching out to others, about overcoming difficulties and being peacemakers. It's rather wonderful!
