My review:

I'm a little late to the party on this one as my edition marks 25 years since its publication, and I'm afraid I'd never heard of it. I have been charmed by Marian Keyes in her television appearances, though, so was interested to read this. And I can see why she is such a popular author. She writes with great warmth and humour, with astute observations on life.

Rachel has been living life at the limits and her friends and family have decided they've got to intervene before things get completely out of hand. They book her into a rehab clinic encouraging her illusions that it'll be a retreat, a spa, a holiday.

We follow Rachel's progress through the clinic, the people she meets, the routine she has to follow, and the memories and home truths she has to face. Will this 'holiday' be the making of her?

It's a long book, ideal for reading on the beach. For me, I'm intrigued to find out what happens next. 'Again, Rachel' is due out very soon.
