Details for 'The Worried Book' by Howard Pearlstein and illustrated by James Munro
The Worried Book
Recommended age: 5+
One in a series of books about emotions, aimed at children aged five up. But we can all learn something from this!

My review:
Worry is a universal emotion - so much so that it seems even books get worried. What if no one reads it? What if it falls behind the bookcase? What if a monster reads it? There's so much to worry about!
I think we can all relate to the catastrophising experienced by the book in this story. It's a message we can appreciate at any age, but it's a warm, entertaining tale seeking to help young children identify and manage their worries.
There are currently three other books in the Emotions series - 'The Shy Book', 'The Sad Book' and 'The Angry Book'. Great idea!
