Alex used to break into buildings illegally. It was fraught with all sorts of issues, as told in the brilliant book 'A Beginner's Guide to Breaking and Entering'.

But now he does it for his job. He works with his three friends as a firm of consultants who break into offices and homes to test their security. He's earning good money and enjoying himself. He's even in a relationship. All seems to be going well.  

One night, though, he finds himself broken up with his girlfriend, fired from his firm and homeless. His response is to steal a job from his company without the others knowing. They'd decided not to accept the assignment, but he thinks he can do it and get back on his feet again.  

Instead, a sequence of events see Alex in dire straits, even dodging prison. 

Once again, this is another complicated and puzzling mystery by Hunter Murray. You never feel lost and are compelled to keep turning the pages. It's clever and intriguing, but most of all it's just funny. I love these two books and can't wait to see what he does next.
