Book Group Readers' Recommendations 2025
At the end of each year, members of the Book Group meet together to share their favourite titles and offer ideas for gifts for friends and family, and for new authors to try ourselves. These are the titles that were mentioned.

Billy

First published in 1994. I probably read it not long after this. It's his first novel and in my opinion was brilliant. It's a story of racial injustice set in 1930s Mississippi, as unsentimental as it is heartbreaking. The sequel 'Cinder' was published in 2008, telling the story of Billy's mother.
