Introducing Mrs Collins
by Rachel Parris

Charlotte Lucas is pragmatic and practical. Unlike her good friend Elizabeth Bennet, she realises the benefits of a marriage to Mr Collins. The life he offers might be quiet and predictable but it will bring security and she determines to accept and make the best of it.

Then someone new appears on the scene and a spark is lit. How will Charlotte respond now? How will she keep her emotions in check? And will she remain content with her lot when she has met someone with whom she feels so very much aligned?

This is a charming, touching and entertaining read. For me it  celebrates the tone, style, wit and sensitivity of a Jane Austen novel perfectly, while still addressing some deeper issues which resonate with women today. It's warm and intelligent, reassuring and moving. I loved it!
