Another gem of a story, in rhyme, from the wonder that is Julia Donaldson, this time with charming pictures created by the Norwegian illustrator, Victoria Sandoy. Perfect for children aged three upwards.

Two children, Ginger and James, meet under a tree. He's reading a book and she's playing with a paper plane. They soon become friends but then find themselves parted.

As we wonder if the children will be reunited, we learn that the tall tree is on a journey. Cut down, it is transported to a paper plant where it is turned into bags, boxes, letters, books and cards.

It's a clever and enchating way to learn about paper production as well as celebrating friendship and adventure.
