Bear loves to dance and practises all day long. All round the house in all his tasks he seeks to perfect his shapes and movement.

He longs for someone to share his passion, and dances are better for two, after all.

He puts up posters around the forest, asking for people to come forward and he will audition them as his dance partner. 

There are lots of woodland animals eager to try out, but one by one it's clear to Bear that none of them are suitable.

His hopes dashed, he returns home and shuts the door. 

Then he hears someone outside. It's a child twisting and turning, swirling and twirling. It wasn't a dance Bear recognised but it was a dance full of joy. And together they dance freely and happily together.

This is a charming story, with warm, cheerful illustrations. Lovely.
