Yinka, Where is Your Huzband?
by Lizzie Damilola Blackburn

Yinka would like to find love. For the moment, though, she's concentrating on her career in the city, trusting that she'll meet 'the one' very soon.

Her mother and many aunties think Yinka needs to be a bit more proactive. They regularly pray for her delivery from singledom.

When cousin Rachel announces she's getting married, Yinka decides to apply her business goal-setting skills to the challenge of finding herself a date for the wedding - though she also needs to find another job as she's just been made redundant from the career in the city.

This is a fabulous and funny read. The characters are bold and colourful, full of life and energy. There's a wonderful insight into British-Nigerian culture and there's a twist: Yinka is a Christian. So there's no sex outside marriage and she won't join her friends in going out to get drunk. And though she seems to be telling a lot of lies at the moment, Yinka's desperate to do the right thing.

So will she find a husband? And, more to the point, will she find herself?!

A brilliantly uplifting, energising, refreshing read. I loved it!
