Hope Hall is a grand property in the Cambridgeshire countryside newly converted into luxury apartments. Delighted at their new home, the residents all have their own stories to tell. As they build friendships together, we learn about their past and see how they support each other in their day-to-day challenges.

There's Cassie and Ben coping with the issues still looming from Cassie's first marriage. There's Nina still grieving the death of her husband and struggling to match up to the expectations of her parents-in-law as she tries to put her life back together. And there's Venetia, a lively 79-year-old with secrets - she has longstanding connections with Hope Hall, living here when it was a children's home.

This was such an uplifting read. It was wonderfully escapist as we're invited into the homes and lives of the characters, learning about friendship and solidarity, positive relationships and romance, as well as some of the challenging episodes in life and the demanding people we might meet. It's a positive story about community and resilience. Loved it!
