There are just a few more days to go and I'm making every moment count as I endeavour to fulfil all my various commitments over the next couple of days.
While I won't say work has flooded in over the past three weeks, there's been a stronger current than usual and I have plenty of projects to complete before offices reopen and the new year begins on 5 January.
But by Christmas Eve I will have called a halt so that I can enjoy the now popular tradition of Jolabokaflod. I'll light a fire, pour a cup of tea and settle on the sofa by the twinkling tree to read one of the many books which have been beckoning me over the past few weeks.
It's such a treat to give myself time to read for pleasure and I hope you find some moments of quiet and calm to do so, too, amongst all the family, festivities and feasting!
Thank you for reading and I wish you a very Happy Christmas!
